So, you have chosen your niche, you’re prepared to write quality content, your chosen keywords are in mind…..so what’s about the product?
The easiest, and quickest way to earn money is to find an Affiliate Program.
Affiliate Marketing…What Is It?
Affiliate marketing is the process you (AFFILIATE) promoting a product on behalf of other companies (MERCHANTS)
In order to do this you have to sign up to an affiliate program, which there are literally thousands to choose from.
When you sign up to a program the merchant gives you a specific link to use as promotional tool in order to sell their products. This can either be a link toy use in text, or a visual “banner” to put on your site.
Either are effective and the video below will show you the basics of affiliate marketing, and how you can earn money.
Using your website as the point of access for visitors to click on your promotional links is where you will get the main stream of your business.
When a visitor clicks on your link, and buys a product, you get full credit for that sale and earn a commission. The percentage of commission you can earn depends on the program terms you have signed up for. This will, and should, be made clear before you actually join a program.
There are a lot of affiliate programs available such as Amazon or Clickbank, which are a very popular starting point.
However, there are also thousands of independent programs too….
Independent….. What Does That Mean?
You will find that various companies operate their own affiliate schemes away from an affiliate program such as Affiliate Window or Clickbank.
Whether you want to stay as part of an affiliate program which offer lots of companies “under one roof” so to speak is entirely your choice……
….However, the independent affiliate program’s offered by individual companies can, and almost certainly will, offer higher percentage commissions
The reason why people do not go for independent program’s vary, but many like the option of having a one-stop-shop where they can select various companies all under the same program, or it could be just that trust level of not knowing what the independent company is like – but that is why you undertake research.
I would recommend searching for a few independent affiliate program’s relevant to your chosen niche, and then finding out about their program’s, which many websites of companies will dedicate a specific area detailing the commissions, terms etc.
Alternatively, you can enter chat forums and ask people if they have dealt with this company, or that company.
Ultimately you will find that the majority of companies will be absolutely fine…but I don’t want you to find out the hard way and not get sales due to dodgy links, have irregular payments, etc, so may be worthwhile just spending a small amount of time checking them out first.

Cheaper Products Will Sell Better Won’t They?
Don’t be fooled into thinking that the cheaper lines you promote will sell better.
People look for quality as well as price so give them just that. I always remember this saying:
Give people what they want, not what you think they want
This absolutely right and great advice.
So, when you are looking for products to promote, either as part of a larger affiliate program, or an independent one, make sure it is relevant to your niche.
Also, take a look at what commission you are getting.
If you sell items at say $10 each and only get 4% commission, it will take a lot of these to make your 1st $100 day.
If you sell items at $50 with 40% or 50% commission then 4 or 5 sales will be enough.
Simple to say I know, but simple to achieve as well……try it.
